Dakota Fanning (born Hannah Dakota Fanning, 23.2.1994)
Dakota Fanning is an American actress, best known for her roles in films such as Charlotte's Web and I Am Sam.
Dakota Fanning: Childhood
Dakota Fanning was born in Conyers, Georgia, to Joy and Steve Fanning. Her mother was a tennis professional and her father was a minor league baseball player, then an electronics salesman. On her mother's side, her grandfather, Rick Arrington was an American footballer and her aunt, Jill Arrington, was a reporter on ESPN. Dakota's younger sister Elle Fanning is also an actress.
Fanning's family are members of the Southern Baptist Convention. Dakota studied at Campbell High School in North Hollywood, California. She is also on the cheerleading squad at her high school.
Dakota Fanning: Acting Career
Dakota Fanning's acting career began when she was five years old, when she was cast in a Tide commercial. Her first serious acting job was in the NBC drama ER, playing a leukemia sufferer who was also in a car accident.
Following her role on ER, Dakota Fanning landed a number of guest roles on series such as CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, Spin City and The Practice. She was also selected to play the younger versions of the title characters of Ally McBeal and The Ellen Show.
Dakota Fanning's big break came in 2001, when she starred opposite Sean Penn in I Am Sam. In the film, Sean Penn plays the role of a mentally impaired man who has to fight for custody of his daughter. Her performance in the film led to her being nominated for a Screen Actors Guild Award. At eight years of age, she became the youngest person ever to have been nominated for the award. The Broadcast Film Critics Association also awarded her the Best Young Actor/Actress award.
Dakota Fanning then landed the main child role in the Steven Spielberg-directed mini series Taken in 2002. Later that year, Dakota was cast as a kidnap victim in Trapped (starring Courtney Love, Charlize Theron and Kevin Bacon). She was also cast alongside Reese Witherspoon in Sweet Home Alabama and in Hansel and Gretel, with Jacob Smith and Taylor Momsen.
In 2003, Dakota Fanning played the child to Brittany Murphy's nanny in Uptown Girls. She also played Sally in The Cat in the Hat, the Dr. Seuss adaptation starring Mike Myers, Kelly Preston and Alec Baldwin.
Fanning provided voice-overs for a number of animated projects, including Kim Possible, My Neighbour Totoro and Family Guy.
2004 saw Dakota Fanning appearing in Man on Fire. She played the role of Pita, alongside Denzel Washington, who plays the role of a man hired to protect her from kidnappers. Fanning continued to work alongside highly revered actors, including Robert De Niro, with whom she worked on Hide and Seek. In Lilo & Stitch: Stitch Has A Glitch, Fanning provided the voice of Stitch. Following this, she provided the voice for the film adaptation of Neil Gaiman's Coraline.
When Dakota Fanning worked with Kurt Russell and Kris Kristofferson on Dreamer: Inspired by a True Story, Kristofferson compared her to Bette Davis. She also featured in War of the Worlds, along with Tom Cruise. The director Steven Spielberg was equally complimentary.
In 2005, Dakota Fanning starred in Charlotte's Web, which was filmed in Australia.
The following year, Dakota Fanning starred in Hounddog. The film was shrouded in controversy, as Fanning appears in a scene in which her character is raped. The film's director, Deborah Kampmeier spoke out in her defence. At the age of 12, Dakota Fanning became the youngest person to be invited to join the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.
In 2007, Fanning starred alongside Forest Whitaker, Jennifer Hudson, Guy Pearce and Kate Beckinsale in Fragments - Winged Creatures.
Dakota Fanning's career continues apace, with the 2008 release of the Secret Life of Bees (starring Queen Latifah, Alicia Keys and Sophie Okonedo). Nigerian Movie Actresses Biography

source(google.com.pk)
I have been thinking about how you can accuse Nollywood of everything, but you cannot accuse our industry of a lack of acting talent wide and deep. Some of them are unappreciated, some are overused, other underused, and most mis-used. But under these uninspiring conditions, they have managed to let their talent shine.

By the way, the below is a list of women of a certain age, who have acted in Nigerian movies and who are alive (so that leaves out the greats like Toun Oni and Taiwo Ajai-Lycett). I’m celebrating them! She was Patience Ozokwor, before Patience Ozokwor became Patience Ozokwor. And was she good! The beauty of Onuma is how she could move so easily from the wicked mother-in-law to the banking executive screaming ‘Hit the Streets!’ She was always so good to watch, and always blended right into her character – whatever happened to her?Whether leading the charge of the moneyed women in August Meeting or she’s taking her turn as the nagging wife, Eucharia -now a pastor- always knows how to steal a scene. It will be a huge stretch to compare the star of Heartless and Total Disgrace to Meryl Streep, but she has that uncanny ability to be the centre of gravity, able tyo make a film watchable even when it is hopelessly bad.Who can forget Deadly Affair? It was with this movie that the plus-size actress finally won our hearts. I am not sure she was such a fine actress much as she was just an appealing figure. She was graceful, and she looked like she couldn’t ever hurt a fly. Even when she was the complete bad-ass female, she just compelled you to watch and to like her.Mama G! This is one case where no one cares if she is stereotyped or typecast, or if we’ve seen her in those same clothes and saying those same lines over and over and over again, no one can have enough of the inimitable characters that live and breathe through Ozorkwor. Her strength surely comes from just how much phone she seems to be having in character. And have you heard her scream ‘Hian!’ before? You immediately feel sufficiently entertained.
You know her as a singer, but then she’s a phenomenal actress. Her credits include Government House, Women’s Cot, Conspiracy, Not Your Wealth, Widow amongst others. Conspiracy, where her character was an endearing lunatic women and which was blessed with her most successful songs as soundtrack, was perhaps her most powerful showcase. Onwenu’s acting prowess is intimidating – when she acts, you forget she’s a superstar. She lets the character swallow her. She’s been in some dodgy movies with her dear husband, but all in all, Ms. Doyle – who takes a star turn as Sheila Ade-Williams in Mnet’s Tinsel series – has proven over time that she’ an actress to respect. Her sassiness always seems to shine through whatever the roll, and while her range hasn’t been wide; there is a depth that she consistently brings to her characters.Ah, the Grand Dame! What couldn’t Liz Benson act? The 16 year old, the goddess of perfection, the wicked stepmother, the chief executive, the adultress, the innocent wife, the witch, the angel … Nigeria’s film industry is yet to find any replacement for the woman who must have acted over 1000 movies in ten years. We loved her, loved her, loved her. I miss her, miss her, miss her. No one even comes close! It’s a shame her mouth seems to always have the same expression, because save for that blip, Chukwurah-Abiola is one of the more imposing – and that is meant in the best of ways – of our aactresses. From Gold Diggers to Glamour Girls, when she gets angry, you are frightened; when she is happy you are joyful. She has an ability to infect you with her character – and surely that is a gift. It’s not the kind of name that immediately rings bells, but if you have been blessed to watch Ebele Okaro in performance, then you know that this star of movies such as Days of Rage and Egg of Life. I sat beside this woman on a flight to Enugu recently, and while I would more easily be star-mad when I see a Genevieve and inch for a photograph, I was only so star struck. It was enough to be that close to this under-appreciated acting royalty. Many of us grew up watching Rachel Oniga – the woman who should trademark her dead-on expression of a confused flustered, Nigerian woman. She’s now to be found sharing her talent in Yoruba movies, but for the brief period that she was in every other English offering, Oniga was a toast of many families. And she always had a grip on the tragic. She probably shares that same charm as Dolly Unachukwu – where you can’t hate them evern when their characters are of the devil. Ezeonu kicked off her career in Nneka, The Pretty Serpent, she has gone on to occupy the role of gentle wife to the angry, rich chief. Sometimes the stereotypes become a bit too stifling, but Ezeonu sweetly manages to remain on the top of her game. Her voice is a screech; a high, frightening screech. So it’s perghaps no surprise that her breakout films were the one where she was a witch and the other where she was the wicked mother-in-law (case in point, the movie ‘Evil Woman’). She’s not the kind of face you want to see when you wake up in the morning – lush with foreboding and forewarning – but it doesn’t mean you don’t get a chill in your bones when she gets that screech right. And the action to match.

Lifetime Movie Actress Biography

source(google.com.pk)
Say what you want about Lifetime, but they found their groove and they’re sticking to it. Anna Nicole, which premiered on June 29, is just the most recent installment of the camp-y, overly dramatic made-for-TV movies that Lifetime does so well. We at HollywoodLife.com called Lifetime’s story of Anna Nicole Smith “crazy, wild fun” and a “roller coaster ride of drugs, alcohol, and tragedy,” but did the rest of the critics like it as much as we did?Anna Nicole isn’t really about anything in the conventional sense, but still manages to be as hard to turn away from and vaguely sleazy as its namesake, which should suit Lifetime’s purposes just fine. If nothing else, the movie appears destined to win some kind of award for most convincing prosthetic cleavage, allowing Agnes Bruckner to play the Playboy and Guess jeans model in her pre- and “build-on” breast stages, flanked by a perfectly cast Martin Landau and Adam Goldberg as the unlikely men in her life. As guilty pleasures go, this one certainly doesn’t lack for moments at which to hoot.On Saturday night, Lifetime blows out the doors with Anna Nicole, a true-life movie so good, so well-written and yet sleazy enough to satisfy even the cheesiest viewers among us.It was in 2007 that Anna Nicole Smith, aka Vickie Lynn Hogan, the small-town Texas girl who grew up to embody one of the most spectacularly unfortunate public meltdowns of modern Hollywood, died from a cocktail of prescription drugs at the age of 39. That rags-to-riches story is an old Hollywood fable continuously reflected in a constant rotation of bright young things. But Anna Nicole manages to breathe new life into the tale of yet another young woman with a misplaced Marilyn Monroe obsession that turns into a curse. The movie, which premieres on Saturday at 8, has nothing to offer. It’s storytelling at its most shallow and unsatisfying. Written by John Rice and Joe Batteer and directed by Mary Harron, Anna Nicole barely conveys the basic facts of Smith’s life, never mind any bigger ideas about her private terrors and our cultural demons. Bruckner is fine as Smith, and her prosthetic breastplate is quite impressive; but the script gives her nothing of substance or with resonance.

So besides one scathing review, everyone seems to be on board with us! We hope you set your DVRs to record Anna Nicole or that you can catch a rerun, because it’s definitely worth a viewing.Agnes Bruckner did a great job as ANS. I don’t recall ANS being quite the dodo she’s portrayed in this film. The real evil soul in this sad tale is the real life Howard K. Stern who personified why attorneys are so well thought of (sarcasm intended). So glad to hear that Danilynn is doing so well with her father Larry Birkhead and he appears to do his best to commemorate to his daughter the best of ANS’ qualities. (Hope Danilynn doesn’t see this film!)My cable started going out before the movie was finished. I’ve been trying to find the second half on the Lifetime Channel but it is not there! Errrrr.I thought the movie was very good, very sad I thought the actress did a great job, I can’t imagine trying to fill those shoes , I have watched it three times and I just find it such a sad story and I would have liked to see a little more of her daughter before it ended for she is so beautiful now!when will come on again im dying to see itthis movie was awesome!!! all of you people that say you laughed during it must have no heart. i was crying at the end of this movie. And when it comes to the actress that played her well she was sexy and i thought she did an amazing job. i have seen this actress in another lifetime movie and her character was the complete opposite then the character she had to portray in this this movie and i thought she did an amazing job becoming Anna Nicole. i have already watched this movie three times and i have cried each timeI would of liked to see her during her reality show and how it got cancelled. Other than that I wish they would of at least tried to show some good qualities about Ana. They made her out to be a stupid, drug addict before and during her pregnancy. I mean was the women just a plastic body with no brain or feelings? We waited too long for this movie, to only get THIS. I expected much more reality anb details. All this movie did was show the world that Anna was a drug addict…. we already knew that.. make a movie out of the book “Your Life Through My Eyes,” it a great getto story about the lives of two Best Friends. The author (Mary Pourch), “Please write a part 2, i love your book , read it 10x already.”Watching it now. The actress that played Anna Nicole wasn’t the right person to cast in the role. She was very pretty, but she wasn’t able to capture Anna’s mannerisms, sexiness, craziness, or sparkle. Just okay for me.Yes thought it was good. Actress looked just like her it was so sad
How her life crumbled so quickly. Sad.I cried, over and over again. First off, Dannilyn, was named Hope! She was not Dannilyn until Daniel died. My heart is broken all over again for this tragic life of Anna Nicole and Daniel. I thank the Gods for Larry. My heart is broken all over again! Live on Dannilyn and Larry! The movie was awful. And I’m pretty sure I wasn’t supposed to laugh at loud. Which is what I did. (I doubt anna Nicole smith drugged howard stern. smh) It felt more like a parody of Anna. And it got some major facts wrong- like the small fact that anna nicole smith meet howard k. stern two years After her husband died. (Did the writers of the movie really not know that??) And Dannielynn was named Dannielynn AFTER Daniel died. And it kept on calling Anna’s son Danny. His name was DANIEL
If the movie wasn’t so preoccupied and wasted so much time making Anna look like she was a drunken idiot wh*re it could have gotten into a lot more detail of Anna’s life and Daniel’s death.
Howard K. Stern has told the story of Daniel’s death and its much more heart breaking then what we see in the movie. At some point in the middle of the night Daniel slipped in to Anna’s bed next to her. Howard was sleeping in the other bed and he woke up to Anna telling him that Daniel was not breathing. He ran out into the hall way to tell the doctors that something was wrong. After doing CPR on Daniel the doctors finally gave up and Anna freaked out even harder and Howard and Anna kept on doing CPR on him. She had to be seated to leave the hospital.I agree totally with what you say…this was a horrible movie…anyone who cared about Anna and followed her could see what a farce this movie is. The actress is not near as beautiful as Anna and certainly did not capture her. This movie does not deserve any awards!!! Compare it with the HBO Behind the Candlabra bio of Liberace which so well done Douglas/Damon both deserve awards as does the entire production…the writers actually researched their subject unlike this movie. I hate what they have done to her in this production she deserves so much better. The dream sequences were a technique to fill up time because they didnt know what they were doing. Please dont attemp to do an Elvis bio…leave that to people who know what they are doing.I really liked it, but somehow I don’t think that the storyline about Daniel in th end was very factual. I find it hard to believe that no one at the time or the press knew anything about Daniel becoming addicted to her meds. Not buying it. Very sad and surprised they didn’t leave more time to focus more on the death of Daniel and the birth of Danni Lynn (sp?) I would have liked to hear more about both. So very sad though.

Nepali Movie Actress Biography

source(google.com.pk)
Mala Sinha (born 11 November 1936) is an Indian actress who has worked in Hindi, Bengali and Nepali films. Recognised for her talent and beauty, she went on to become a popular leading actress in Hindi films from the early 1950s until the late 1970s. Sinha has starred in over a hundred film productions: popular ones include Pyaasa (1957), Dhool Ka Phool (1959), Anpadh, Dil Tera Deewana ( both 1962), Gumrah (1963), Himalaya Ki God Mein (1965) and Aankhen (1968).Sinha was born to Albert Sinha, in an Indian-Nepali Christian family in Nepal. They named her Alda. Her friends at school used to tease her by calling her Dalda (a brand of vegetable oil), so she changed her name to Mala.In her childhood she learnt dancing and singing.
Although she was an approved singer of All India Radio, she has never done playback singing in films. But as a singer she has done stage shows in many languages from 1947 to 1975.Sinha started her career as child artist in Bengali films Jai Vaishno Devi followed by Shri Krishan Leela, Jog Biyog and Dhooli. Noted Bengali director Ardhendu Bose saw her acting in a school play and took permission from her father to cast her as a heroine in his film Roshanara (1952), her cinematic debut.
After acting in a couple of films in Calcutta, Mala had to go to Bombay for a Bengali film. There she met Geeta Bali, a noted Bollywood actress, who was charmed by her and introduced her to film director Kidar Sharma. It was Sharma who cast her as a heroine in his Rangeen Ratein. Her first Hindi film was Badshah opposite Pradeep Kumar, then came Ekadashi, a mythological film. Both failed, but her lead role in Kishore Sahu's Hamlet, paired opposite Pradeep Kumar, fetched her rave reviews in spite of it failing at the box office.Films like Lai Batti (actor Balraj Sahni’s only directorial venture), Nausherwan-E-Adil where she starred as the fair maiden Marcia in Sohrab Modi’s romance about forbidden love and Phir Subah Hogi, which was director Ramesh Saigal’s adaptation of Dosteovsky’s Crime and Punishment established Mala Sinha's reputation as a versatile actress who took the maximum career risks by accepting unconventional roles.
Mala was a singer of some repute and used to sing for All India Radio; she was not allowed to sing playback (even for herself) in the movies with the lone exception being 1972's Lalkar. In the 1950s, she had string of hits opposite Pradeep Kumar like Fashion (1957), Detective (1958), Duniya Na Mane (1959) though their first two ventures had failed. The films she did with Pradeep Kumar were men-oriented. In 1957, noted Bollywood actor and film director Guru Dutt (the husband of Geeta Dutt) cast Mala in his film Pyaasa (1957) in a role originally intended for Madhubala. Mala gave a memorable performance as the relatively unsympathetic part of an ambitious woman who chooses to marry a rich man (played by actor Rehman) and have a loveless marriage rather than a poor, unsuccessful poet and her impoverished lover (played by Guru Dutt) whom she ditches. Pyaasa remains to this day a classic in the history of Indian cinema and a turning point for Sinha.

Mala Sinha with Guru Dutt in Pyaasa (1957), a turning point in her career.
After Pyaasa her major success were Phir Subah Hogi(1958) and Yash Chopra's directorail debut Dhool Ka Phool (1959) that elevated her into a major dramatic star. There was no looking back for Sinha then as she was part of many successful movies from 1958 to the early '60s like Parvarish (1958), Ujala, Main Nashe Main Hoon, Duniya Na Mane, Love Marriage (1959), Bewaqoof (1960), Maya (1961), Hariyali Aur Rasta and Dil Tera Deewana (1962), Anpadh, Bombay Ka Chor (1962). Critics believe her career best performance was in Bahurani (1963), Gumrah, Gehra Daag, Apne Huye Paraye and Jahan Ara.Apart from pairing with Pradeep Kumar, her pairing opposite Raaj Kumar, Rajendra Kumar, Biswajit and Manoj Kumar in woman-oriented films were appreciated by audiences, with her films opposite Biswajit being the most popular. With Raaj Kumar, she gave box office hits like Phool Bane Angaare, Maryada and Karmayogi and opposite Manoj Kumar, gave commercial successes like Hariyali Aur Rasta, Apne Huye Paraye and Himalaya Ki God Mein. The hits with Rajendra Kumar were Devar Bhabhi, Dhool Ka Phool, Patang, Geet and Lalkar.
With Biswajit her popular movies include Aasra, Night in London, Do Kaliyaan, Tamanna, Nai Roshni and critically acclaimed films Pyar Ka

Mala Sinha and Waheeda Rehman in Pyaasa (1957)
Sapna, Paisa Ya Pyaar, Jaal and Phir Kab Milogi (1974 film). She did 10 films with Biswajit. In 2007, they won the Star Screen Lifetime Achievement Award, calling them on stage together giving due respect to their popularity as a pair who have tasted box office success. The most remarkable feature of career of Mala Sinha was that most of her 1960s and 1970s hits were fueled by her own star power as much as the heroes and most of the times her role was more powerful than the hero. Though she was pitted opposite her seniors like Raj Kapoor, Dev Anand, Kishore Kumar, Pradeep Kumar and when she acted opposite the emerging stars from late 1950s like Shammi Kapoor, Rajendra Kumar and Raaj Kumar, she made sure her role was as good as theirs. The characters she played stood out and gave her recognition for her performances. Sinha did not mind working with newcomers as long as her role was worth it. She worked with many newcomers of her era including Manoj Kumar, Dharmendra, Rajesh Khanna, Sunil Dutt, Sanjay Khan, Jeetendra and Amitabh Bachchan. In most of her films from the 1960s, she got the first billing in the credits, even before the heroes, with exceptions being those with Guru Dutt, Raj Kapoor, Dev Anand, Pradeep Kumar and Kishore Kumar.
In 1966, Sinha went to Nepal to act in a Nepali film called Maitighar when the Nepali film industry was still in its infancy. Her hero in the film was an estate owner called Chidambar Prasad Lohani.Soon after, Mala Sinha married C. P. Lohani with the blessings of her parents. From the beginning theirs was a long-distance marriage with Lohani based in Kathmandu to look after his business and Sinha living in Bombay with their daughter Pratibha. She continued acting after her marriageShe has been a heroine in Nepali and Bengali films. In Bengali films she has acted with Uttam Kumar as well as Kishore Kumar. Her last Bengali film as a main female lead was Kabita (1977) which featured Ranjit Mullick and Kamal Hassan; it was a super-hit at the box office. She is noted for her strong women-oriented, glamorous roles fuelled by her equal star power on par with the heroes in films like Dhool Ka Phool, Suhag Sindoor,Anpadh, Phir Subah Hogi, Hariyali Aur Rasta, Bahurani, Aasra, Do Kaliyaan, Gumrah, Aankhen, Baharen Phir Bhi Aayengi, Himalaya Ki God Mein, Do Kaliyaan, Holi Aayi Re, Nai Roshni, Mere Huzoor, Kangan, Archana, Maryada amongst others.

Spiderman Movie Actress Biography

The fictional character Spider-Man, a comic book superhero featured in Marvel Comics publications, has appeared in five films since his inception. The first film was an American made-for-television film that premiered on CBS in 1977 and was later shown theatrically overseas. It was directed by E.W. Swackhamer and starred Nicholas Hammond and Thayer David.
The rights to further motion picture films based on Spider-Man were purchased in 1985 and moved through various production companies and studios, at one point having James Cameron to direct, before being secured by Sony Pictures Entertainment. Sony hired comic book fan Sam Raimi to direct three new films: Spider-Man (2002), Spider-Man 2 (2004), and Spider-Man 3 (2007). Through the films, Peter Parker (Tobey Maguire) developed a relationship with his high school crush Mary Jane Watson (Kirsten Dunst), and as Spider-Man, he has battled villains including the Green Goblin (Willem Dafoe), Doctor Octopus (Alfred Molina), the New Goblin (James Franco), the Sandman (Thomas Haden Church), and Venom (Topher Grace).
Raimi's trilogy, produced on a total budget of US$597 million, grossed nearly $2.5 billion worldwide, with the fourth achieving $752 million. Each film set several box office records, with all three included in the top 20 highest-grossing domestic films as well as the top 30 highest-grossing worldwide films. The series over all is the tenth highest-grossing film franchise ever. Critics have given the first two films in the series positive reviews, while the third film received mainly mixed reviews. The series has been released on both Blu-ray and DVD.
While the story told in the first three films was originally going to be continued in a fourth film, Sony announced that the franchise would instead be rebooted with new director Marc Webb and a new cast that included Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker, Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy, and Rhys Ifans as Dr. Curt Connors. The reboot's intention was to have Peter Parker back to developing his abilities in high school. The film, titled The Amazing Spider-Man, was released in 3D and IMAX 3D in July 2012. Critics have also given this film positive reviews. The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is currently in development and is scheduled to be released in 2014.In 1977, the pilot episode of The Amazing Spider-Man television series was released by Columbia Pictures as a feature film outside of the United States. In 1978 episodes from the television series were re-edited and released outside of the United States as a feature film titled Spider-Man Strikes Back. In 1979, a film made using the same method was released as Spider-Man: The Dragon's Challenge. The disappointing performance of 1983's Superman III made comic book adaptations low priority in Hollywood, though the comic industry itself thrived. In 1985, after a brief option on Spider-Man by Roger Corman expired,Marvel Comics optioned the property to Cannon Films. Cannon chiefs Menahem Golan and his cousin Yoram Globus agreed to pay Marvel Comics $225,000 over the five-year option period plus a percentage of the film’s revenues. The rights would revert to Marvel if a film was not made by April 1990.Tobe Hooper, then preparing both Invaders From Mars and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2, was mooted as director. Golan and Globus misunderstood the concept of the character ("They thought it was like The Wolf Man", said director Joseph Zito)and instructed writer Leslie Stevens, creator of The Outer Limits, to write a treatment reflecting their misconception. In Stevens’ story, a corporate scientist intentionally subjects ID-badge photographer Peter Parker to radioactive bombardment, transforming him into a hairy, suicidal, eight-armed monster. The human tarantula refuses to join the scientist’s new master-race of mutants, battling a succession of mutations kept in a basement laboratory.21st Century’s Menahem Golan still actively immersed himself mounting "his" Spider-Man, sending the original "Doc Ock" script for production bids. In 1990, he contacted Canadian effects company Light and Motion Corporation regarding the visual effects, which in turn offered the stop-motion chores to Steven Archer (Krull, Clash of the Titans).oward the end of shooting True Lies, Variety carried the announcement that Carolco Pictures had received a completed screenplay from James Cameron. This script bore the names of James Cameron, John Brancato, Ted Newsom, Barry [sic] Cohen and "Joseph Goldmari", a typographical scrambling of Golan's pen name ("Joseph Goldman") with Marvel executive Joseph Calimari. The script text was identical to the one Golan submitted to Columbia the previous year, with the addition of a new 1993 date. Cameron stalwart Arnold Schwarzenegger was frequently linked to the project as the director's choice for Dr. Octopus.Spider-Man 2 picks up two years after the events of the first film. Struggling to balance both his superhero life and private civilian life, Peter still pines after Mary Jane, who is now engaged, and Harry continues to thirst for revenge against Spider-Man. As the stress of his dual life causes Peter's superpowers to wane, the hero must contend with the presence of Otto Octavius (Alfred Molina), a.k.a. Dr. Octopus, a mad scientist with four mechanical tentacles fused to his spine who sets out to recreate a dangerous fusion-based experiment that could destroy half of New York City. As the villain rampages across the city, Peter must choose between living the normal life he desires or committing to his responsibility to protect New York as Spider-Man.Spider-Man 3 picks up months after the events of the second film. The film finds Peter basking in the spotlight as Spider-Man, and finding a balance between being a superhero and being with his love, Mary Jane Watson. Harry finally decides to take his revenge by setting up Mary Jane, then becomes the New Goblin like his father the original Green Goblin , and threatens the elements in Peter's life. Eddie Brock (Topher Grace), another photographer for the Bugle, sets out on a mission to defame Spider-Man and incriminate him. Flint Marko (Thomas Haden Church), an escaped convict, falls into a particle accelerator and becomes a shape-shifting sand monster later known as Sandman. He sets out to steal money for his chronically ill daughter. Peter later learns that Marko is the one that killed Uncle Ben, causing Peter's own dark intentions to grow. This vendetta is enhanced by the appearance of the mysterious black alien symbiotic substance that bonds to Peter, resulting in the formation of a new, jet-black costume. Once Peter separates himself from the alien, it finds a new host in the form of Brock, resulting in the creation of Venom.
